OMP Mechtron S.p.a.: only ISO9000 and ISO1400 compliant suppliers for our Chinese plant

OMP Mechtron S.p.a. has always paid great attention to environmental issues and has often chosen procedures which have then become laws – such as the case of electroplating – ; this same care extends also to the Chinese plant opened at the end of 2009.
All potential suppliers need to comply with set ethical conduct rules and be suitably certified for an appropriate environmental management system to become OMP’s listed suppliers.
OMP Mechtron’s suppliers for the Far Eastern facility have to show compliance to ISO9000 as well as ISO14000, a more recent certificate of conformance; this is a company’s specific choice aimed at reducing to the minimum the impact of its production processes on the environment.
As a confirmation of its environmental commitment, the company will fit the roofs of its new plant due to open in August 2011 with state-of-the-art solar panels.
