After constant growth in 2010, OMP Mechtron S.p.a faces 2011 with important changes

OMP Mechtron news

In 2010 OMP Mechtron S.p.a. strengthened its role namely in Telecommunications, Railways and Broadcasting.
Last year’s turnover grew by approximately 50% thanks to new important contracts.
This growth called for new investments: in 2010, OMP increased the number of its staff in its four production plants and invested in the creation and upgrading of internal skills.
These investments enabled the implementation of the new businesses developed in Europe, America and the Far East, where OMP is going to be present through its new dynamic plant based in Shanghai aimed at following the Asian market.
The target for 2011 is to confirm this positive trend through further specialisation and increase in the production capacity as well as in customer satisfaction which has always been OMP’s strength and main target within the company’s strategies. In August 2011, the current site in Arcore near Milan will be replaced by a new plant in the nearby town of Usmate- Velate, which will contain all the mounting phases – so far divided into four plants – thereby optimising all production processes.
The several mechanical productions will focus on the production of single mechanical elements which will be conveyed to the central hub in Usmate where they will be sent to the final assembly phases.
In this way, OMP expects to raise the company’s competitiveness.
